They are made from the best light-resistant pigments and bound with natural gum arabic. The water soluble colours are easy to scumble and allow the painting surface to show through, depending on the dilution. With a weak dilution, the colours are more vivid and almost cover the surface.

A lot of water and wet paper produce interesting colour gradients. Mixing them with white gives them a pastel character. The 19 harmoniously mixed tones are made according to Goethe's "Theory of Colours" and can be mixed together to create all twelve of the intermediate colours.

The colours also remain completely water soluble when dry, can be kept for long periods and are very cost-effective. Stockmar
