Pentago – the revolving challenge
The much loved game Pentago is made from wood. In 2005 it won the ‘Game of the Year’ award in . Pentago is a demanding strategy game and so fits perfectly to the Giseh range of games. The board game consists of four individually rotating quadrants.
The players take turns to place pieces of their own colour on the board, they then give any one of the four quadrants a quarter turn to alter the game to their advantage.
The winner of the game is the player who manages to be the first to place five of their pieces in a row, this can be done horizontally, vertically or diagonally.
The appeal of Pentago arises from the necessity to continually change from an offensive to a defensive playing style. This makes for a constantly exciting and intelligent game which is great fun to play and which encourages the players thinking and reasoning abilities.
The playing board with its rotating quadrants is made from milled birch wood. The 28 playing pieces made of glass make Pentago a simple and beautiful game.
